Drawing Nature ONE - Printable Supply List

Drawing Nature ONE Required Supplies:

Something to know about me is I am not super fussy about supplies in most cases. I’ll provide you with options here. You likely have the required supplies already, and the rest should cost you less than $20 at your local art supply or office supply store.

  • HB OR 2B Pencil (a mechanical pencil is acceptable to use much of the time, but I prefer that you also have a regular wood pencil available)

  • 6B OR 8B wood pencil

  • Pencil sharpener

  • White Eraser (rectangular or in mechanical/retractable stick form)

  • 2 black ballpoint ink pens (the free promo kind is just fine, otherwise I like Pentel RSVP)

  • A Sketchbook that you like to use (8.5x11” minimum, larger is ok)

(I recommend Opus Essential Sketchbooks, as they are inexpensive, lightweight, and excellent quality paper)
Alternatively, printer paper and a clipboard is okay!

  • Any sketchbook you like that is smaller, portable, pocket or purse-size.

The following supplies are 100% optional but you may still find them useful. Some of them (***starred***) will be required in Drawing Nature TWO.

TIPS:

I recommend shopping in person at Opus since the staff is knowledgeable and keen to help. They also have a cash back membership program.

If you’re splashing out on a bigger sketchbook or a set of colour media, you can usually find a “30% off one item” coupon on the Michaels Canada website. Go to the top dropdown menu and choose coupons, and then you should be able to find a barcode to scan at checkout, or a code to use online.
