I learned after painting it that this is not our local species, but a naturalized one from Europe. But I still had fun painting it! We do have a native beach pea here in Victoria; I will have to try again in a future series. For all that it doesn’t quite fit the series, it’s still a good painting and I’m proud of it!
This original piece is framed and hand-signed, sealed with 2 isolation coats and a UV archival gloss varnish, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
